

Nancy Marth, 73, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Newcomb Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Newcomb Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be made at www.TheRungeMortuary.com. She was born March 16, 1939 in Marshfield, WI, a daughter of Robert and Evelyn Brown. On December 14, 1957, she married David Marth, Sr. in Aurora, IL. In the early years of her marriage, she was employed by several local attorneys. Nancy was an active church member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and on many committees. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society in Rhinelander, WI. She spent her free time reading, gardening, crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed the loons, Saturday morning rummies with her cousins, Carol and Vern, and evening pontoon rides on Pine Lake. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Nancy was a very selfless person who loved life, always willing to help others in need. She touched other lives, always leaving them better for meeting her.
