Services will be held at 12:00 noon at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly and Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:45am. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established in Nicole’s name.
Nicole was born on November 25, 1981 in Davenport, to Dale and Mary (Moon) Lacina. She graduated from Davenport West High School in 2000 and then graduated from Scott Community College with an associate’s degree in art. Nicole went on and studied graphic arts at the Art Institute of California.
Nicole obviously had a passion for art, photography, and anything related to design. She was always welcome to take on a new project or design at Michael’s where she had been working the past several years. Nicole also enjoyed animals, traveling, sewing, cooking, making jewelry, arranging and staging rooms, and going to the farmer’s market. In earlier years, she was involved in girl scouts, and traveled for many seasons to camp in Ontario.
Nicole is survived by her parents, Dale and Mary Lacina; a sister, Tamsen (Brian) French; a brother, Nathan Lacina; maternal grandmother, Norma Bloomer; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; and maternal grandfather.
