

Memorial services for Norman Crouch, 82, of Davenport, will be 11:00 am on Thursday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 10:00 am to service time at the Mortuary. Norman passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.Cunnick-Collins Mortuary assisting family with arrangements.Norman Dean Crouch was born on June 19, 1931 Carlinville, IL, the son of Lafayette and Blanche (Adams) Crouch. He graduated from Blackburn College with a degree in Chemistry. During the Korean Conflict, Norm was a Hospital Corpsman with the U.S. Navy stationed in Pensacola, FL. In 1953, Norm married Jacqueline Ball, they spent 60 years together. In 1959, Norm moved to Bettendorf, IA, taking a job as Clinical Chemist for the Quad City Pathology Group. He worked until 1985. Norm was also one of the original owners of “Gymnastic Spectrum”, Davenport.His great enduring passions were travel and wood. In his life he traveled to all 50 states and never met a stranger. He cut, split, stacked and delivered wood throughout his retirement years. Norm loved the outdoors.Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline of Davenport, daughters; Caryn Crouch of Bettendorf, Merry Crouch and her partner, Roberta Hermann of O’Fallon, Illinois, son; Terence (Debbie) Crouch of Bettendorf, brothers; Robert Crouch and Donald Crouch.He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Charles and Lawrence.Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C.
