Owen Brandon Dangelser

Owen Brandon Dangelser, 16, of Davenport Iowa passed away on August 24, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary with services immediately following. He will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rungemortuary.com.

Owen was born on February 9, 2009, in Waterloo, Iowa to Luke and Melissa (Thomas) Dangelser. He was a student at Bettendorf High School. Owen enjoyed skateboarding, fashion, fishing, wrestling, music and going fast. Anyone who knew Owen remembers his smile and how it lit up every room. Owen will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for life. He never met a stranger and made a friend everywhere he went.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Luke Dangelser, Melissa Dangelser; siblings, Jase Dangelser, Emma Whipple; grandparents, Phil and Vickie Thomas, Deb Dangelser, Connie Dangelser; great grandmother, Edith Rooker; aunt, Kara (Chris) Sertterh, Charity Dangelser, Lezlea (Chris) Dahlke; uncle, Sam (Emily) Pixley; cousins, Madalynn, Caroline, Ava, Calvin, Soren, Alina and Owen’s special friend, Olivia Hernandez.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Dangelser and close family friend and namesake, Brandon Butler.
