Rebecca (Becky) Lyn Wentworth, 59, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on May 26, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. Memorial services will be Friday, May 31, 2024 at 2 pm at The Runge Mortuary with visitation Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4-7 pm at the mortuary. Her final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born December 9, 1964, in Davenport, Iowa, to Donald and Janet Hamann.
Becky’s vibrant life was upended when she was diagnosed with ALS in 2021. She chose to live life to the absolute fullest over the past four years, traveling the country and spending time with her closest friends and family. She wants everyone to know she fought incredibly hard.
In 1988, Becky married Art Wentworth. Throughout her life, Becky loved spending time in nature, camping across the country, and watching the sunset at her favorite lake in northern Wisconsin. She was a dedicated mother, raising three ambitious children with an unwavering determination to see them thrive. Becky worked and volunteered for many organizations, including United Egg Producers and The North Scott Press. Becky graduated from North Scott Senior High School in Eldridge, Iowa in 1983.
Becky is survived by her husband, Art Wentworth of Davenport, IA, her children: Tyler Wentworth (Alyn Guay) of San Diego, CA, Jacob (Michelle) Wentworth of Davenport, IA, and Jennifer Wentworth of Des Moines, IA, her sisters: Lisa (Ken) Farrar of Windsor, CO, and Kathy (Harry) Nolan of Rigby, ID, her aunt: Elaine Kresse of Davenport, IA, nieces, cousins, and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, and her brothers.
