Richard E. Gless, II, 42, of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 10:00 am at The Runge Mortuary. Richard was born December 29, 1969 in Davenport, the son of Richard Gless and Alice (Hurlbut) Gless. He graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1988. He worked as a health and life insurance agent for Cities Insurance Group for many years. He later worked in selling precious metals. In his spare time he loved to golf and travel. He especially enjoyed going to the beach.He married Chelsea Easter on October 8, 2008 in Bettendorf. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Chelsea; sons: Benjamin and Austin Gless and Nate Rudsell; his father, Richard and wife, Evelyn “Eve” Gless, LeClaire, IA; his mother, Alice Gless, Davenport; sisters: Rachel Gless, and Deborah (Jimmy) Wheeler, both of Davenport, Angel Curtis, Ohio and Donna Sandefur and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Donada Francine McCandless preceded him in death.
