Richard S. Smith

Richard was born on October 10, 1937, in Eldora, IA to William & Cora (Sedgwick) Smith. He was united in marriage to Judith Peterson on March 1, 1955, in Palmyra, MO. Dick had been employed as an industrial electrician retiring from TPC in 1999.

Dick had enjoyed bowling, golf, & coaching his daughters in baseball & bowling. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and was very active at CASI playing cards. He and his wife enjoyed wintering in Arizona with their friends. More recently, Dick enjoyed his move to Ridgecrest and making new friends.

Survivors include his wife Judith Smith, Davenport; 4 daughters Patricia Corry, Aurora, IL, Paula (Russ), Freund, Florence, AZ, Richelle (Allen Trout) Smith, Davenport, Renee (Dale) Rankin, Davenport; son in law Patrick McMullen; 8 grandchildren Rick, Jennifer, Scott, Michael, Will, Kimberly, Kelly, & Daniel; 18 great grandchildren; & 3 great great grandchildren.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Pamela McMullen, son-in-law Thomas Corry, granddaughter Melissa Adamkiewicz; & brother Carl Smith.
