Oh honey,.....where to begin....my heart aches without you.....I want to YELL AND SCREAM......I WANT TO BE MAD AT GOD!!!!.....But....I. CANT......because GOD gave me YOU for 35 BEAUTIFUL YEARS!!!!!!!AND YOU AND GOD GAVE ME AMAZING. CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN...IM FOREVER GRATEFUL AND. BLESSED.....WE MISS DO SO MUCH AND LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!YOU WOULD BE SO PROUD OF THE KIDS AND GRANDKIDS FOR BEING STRONG AND HELPING ME.....BUT WE ARE NOT OK.....WE NEED YOU TO WATCH OVER US.......I KNOW YOUR HERE WITH US!!!! Oh where to begin, because if you met Rick once you could see the fun loving individual he was.  I met this wonderful man and his wonderful family early 90's as I was working at Hy-Vee.  I saw the kids as they grew up, heck I was kind of growing up with them back then as I was in my late teenage years.  As they would come in the store I would always walk around with them for a few aisle, Nicole would always hide behind Rick or Patty.  Through those early years we got closer and they would invite me to their house for some fun times.  To this day, the topic was when I ate dog biscuits with ranch dressing, flippin HILARIOUS, and at the time very delicious.  Then time flies by and so do the years, and our paths cross doing one of the things we love, bowling, and of course Miller Lite.  Now due to work I have been away from the QC for over 7 years, living in PA.  It was so much fun to hang out for that one night each of my visits home, at Leisure Lanes on bowling night.  I wished I could have made more visits home, because like the song goes, "you don't know what you got til it's gone".  And I truly miss all the Gilbreath's'.  So, in closing, Patty, Austin, Nicole, and everyone I'm forgetting (please forgive me) you have my deepest sympathies and I'm so sorry I couldn't be there.  Rick, it IS an honor and such a pleasure to know you, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful family!  Love you my friend, toast one with the big guy for me!

We, (Michele and I) spent a lot of time with Patty and Rick back ain’t the day. They were the hub of the family.  Rick will no doubt carry on with all the great memories left behind. Patty my prayers go out to you and your family and may you find peace and comfort in this time of sorrow.

Just wanted to let you know how sorry I was to hear of Rick’s passing. I was Rick’s  varsity wrestling coach and assistant football coach at Central DeWitt high school. Rick was one of the toughest athletes I ever coached. Pound for pound he was as tough as anyone on the football field or in the wrestling room.  Over the years we have had many conversations when I would bring my car into have it fixed at the Chrysler dealership. We would reminisce about old times. I bowled with Rick and Patty for years. When I first joined their league they made me feel welcome and I had a great time.  I will always remember Rick wearing the visor with the fake hair.  Good times and lots of laughs whenever Rick was around. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great guy. My condolences go out to the family. He will truly be missed. 

I remember when Rick bowled a 300 and was so excited he slid across the bowling alley on his stomach, like 5 lanes away.  We all was so happy for him. You will be greatly missed. We love you

So saddened to hear of Rick's passing.  He was such a fun guy with a huge personality.  Everyone enjoyed his company.  Our daughter bought her vehicle from him and always talked about buying the next one from him.  We are thinking of you all.

I did a social media workshop for Kimberly CC and met Rick for the first time.  He was super excited and engaged when we talked about customer service and follow up ideas!💡 It was obvious that he was passionate about giving more of himself and going thd extra mile for his guests. The automotive business lost one of the good guys.  My prayers 🙏 go out to all who loved him during this difficult time. God bless you all!

Rick it had been a lot of years since we spent time together, but I always had great memories of us as kids at the old house in DeWitt, when we would come up on vacation, life took us in different directions in life and mile apart, I am so sad I never got to see you again, Rest in peace dear cousin, will always remember and love you!!

We love and miss you so so so very much Dad! We have so many great memories but we weren't done making them yet.. please watch over all of us and know that we will always be there and help mom with everything!

Rick was a Good man. Very dedicated to whatever he chose to do in his life. We know he was a great bowler, the life of the party and an Avid Harley Man. I choose to Remember him as Rick Gilbreath, a Great Husband, Father, and Family Man.....A great Friend. R.I.P.

Rick had such a huge heart - always helping people - whether he knew them or not.   There's a special place in heaven for him💔 Say hi to my boy Jon! 

You were the man I could only dream of being I love you dad.  please watch over all of us I know you will and know that you are loved by so many people. You were my idol I looked up to you my whole life your an amazing man papa son father husband I don’t know how to go down this journey without you I wanted to grow gray with you and continue all of our great conversations drink beer work on each other’s houses just what ever we did we had a blast doing it. I hope you are up there doing the things you love bowling mowing the lawn drinking beer and watch all your sports you want. YOUR MY BEST FRIEND I LOVE YOU
