Robert J. Hassel, II, 62, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Genesis East Medical Center. Per his request, cremation rites will be accorded. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.
Bob was born March 17, 1952 in Davenport; the son of Robert and DeVota (Huston) Hassel. He was united in marriage for over twenty years to Yvonne Chavannes.
He was a loving husband to Yvonne and uncle to Alexandria. Bob has a passion for technology and working with computers. He was a Network Administrator at Abbott Laboratories for 25 years. Some of his hobbies included flower gardening, taking care of the birds, as well as collecting trains and comic books. He greatly loved his cats, Molly, Gracie and Casey. Bob was a long-time fan of The Grateful Dead band and loved to travel in his younger days.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Yvonne and his niece Alexandria Brock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; DeVota (Wesley) Hein, Robert Hassel I; and his brother Steven Brock
