Herb was born in Lost Nation, Iowa on April 23, 1939, to Lloyd Wulf and Norma Hasch. He graduated from Lost Nation High School in 1957 and enlisted in the United States Air Force following graduation. He served briefly overseas as an electrical power production specialist and was honorably discharged.
He married Carolyn Dealey on July 30, 1977. She preceded him in death on February 13, 2021.
Herb worked for several years for Cox Music repairing video game machines, for over twenty years for Country Club Coffee as a coffee machine repairman and all-around “Mr Fix-It”, finally retiring from Iowa 80 Kitchen in 2016 where he worked as a janitor (and here again- “Mr Fix-It”).
He adored all three of his granddaughters and spoiled them rotten when they were growing up. He loved animals of all shapes and sizes. He spent much of his spare time doing word searches, playing electronic solitaire, and simply “puttering” around the house, “fixing” things (whether they were broken or not).
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings Betty Knudsen, Darrel Wulf, & Brent Wulf and brothers-in-law Bryan England and Henry Knudsen.
Herb is survived by his children Tina (Tim) Dominicus, & Todd Wulf, his granddaughters Kaitlin (Brandon) Hazelwood, Emma Dominicus, & Madison Wulf; his siblings Lois Smith & Norman (Nancy) Wulf; sister-in-law Linda England, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
