Rose Marie Rhodes

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park. Rose was born September 11, 1942 to Raymond and Nancy (Oxford) Jager in Davenport, IA. On May 1, 1958 she married William “Dusty” Rhodes in Davenport. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

Rose was a compassionate woman with a green thumb. She loved her birds, her cat, Charlie, dog, Macy, and all of her houseplants. More than anything she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband, Dusty; children, Tom (Val) Rhodes, Davenport, IA, Billy (Sherry) Rhodes, Davenport, IA, Rocky (Dawn) Rhodes, Davenport, IA, Nancy (Dave) Parrick, Blue Grass, IA, Ricky (Robin) Rhodes, Davenport, IA, and Danny (Amy) Rhodes, Davenport, IA; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Pam) Jager, Blue Grass, IA; and sister, Margie Jump, Davenport, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law; daughter, Marcy; niece, Lori Ann Letts; sister, Vivian Hillard; brother, Albert Miller; and favorite brother-in-law, Duwaine Jump.
