Sharon K. Conlon. 86, of Bettendorf, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 with a time of sharing at 11:00 a.m. at Weerts Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. Sharon was born in Kinsley, KS to Harold and Fern (Stinson) Floyd but spent most of her youth in Bremerton, WA. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Conlon on May 13, 1961 in New York City, NY. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2020. Prior to her marriage, Sharon was an airline stewardess for United Airlines. During her marriage to Ken, she worked as a travel agent for AAA; which helped her plan many trips she and Ken would take around the world. She and Ken especially enjoyed visiting with her daughter and family in England. Sharon was a volunteer at the Putnam Museum as a guide assistant and served on the board for the Putnam Guild for several years. She was also a member of the local Plus 60 Club and enjoyed the friendships she made while playing in several bridge groups throughout the years.
Survivors include her two children, Michael Conlon and Judith (James Boyle) Conlon; two grandsons, Conor and Declan Boyle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Kenneth.
