Sharon J. Richardson, 63, of Davenport passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 1:00 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday 4-7 p.m. at the mortuary. Sharon was born March 20, 1949 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of James and Helen L. (Bonhof) Richardson.
She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal after 25 years of service.
Sharon was a joyful woman who truly loved life. She enjoyed socializing with people and she knew everyone in her own neighborhood. Shopping was her favorite past time.
She was a single mom who took the best care of her son taking on a dual role on with hard work and diligence.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Jim (Tayna) Richardson, loving partner of 17 years, Fred Claussen, all of Davenport; grandsons, Randy and Ryan Richardson, brothers, Jim and Dick Brown, both of Wapello.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gary Richardson and Frank Simmons.
