Steven Wilson Hollingshed Sr.

Steven W. Hollingshed, Sr. 54 of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Genesis East Medical Center. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Third Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10am.

Steven was born on July 4, 1969 in Davenport, Iowa to Jimmy and Louise Hollingshed. He attended Davenport Central High School. Steven loved to spend time outside fishing, he spent most of his time at the river. He loved listening to R. Kelly, dancing, singing, and imitating others. He was a real jokester and loved to make everyone laugh and smile. He loved his family very much and he was a doting grandfather. Steven attended Third Missionary Baptist Church.

Those left to honor his memory are his children Marcus Powell, Shnice Powell, Kayla Hollingshed, Steven Hollingshed Jr., Travis Hollingshed, Austin Hollingshed, and Javon Hollingshed; grandchildren: A'myah Powell, Marcus Powell, Jr., De'Marcus Powell, Makhi Powell, Makhila Powell, Raymond Powell, Acacia Powell, Masion Powell, Alicia Powell, Ariella Powell, Damarcus Powell, Kyion Sims, Havhaya Sims, Kehlani Sims, Alijah Hollingshed, and Cataleya Hollingshed; siblings: Mary Hollingshed, Jimmy Hollingshed, and Patricia Jones; along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandson Mateo Hollingshed; his parents Jimmy and Louise; siblings Mary Jean Robinson, Julie Adams, Gloria Hollingshed, Setra Mae Hollingshed, Rickey Hollingshed, Tony Hollingshed, Tommy Lee Hollingshed; and brother in law Daniel Jones.
