

Terrence, “Terry” Eugene Ceurvorst, 76, of Davenport, IA, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at MercyOne/Genesis East Medical Center. A memorial service will be at the Kahl Home Chapel in Davenport in the future.
Terry was born in Davenport on January 11, 1950. He was the son of Eugene and Marion (Kaupel) Ceurvorst.
In earlier years, Terry was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davenport and was a 1964 graduate of Holy Family’s parochial grade school.
As a teenager, Terry achieved the “Life Scout” designation and continued on to complete many of the requirements necessary to achieve the highest designation of “Eagle Scout” in the Boy Scouts of America.
Terry graduated from Assumption High School in 1968 and then spent several years in college courses as an accounting major, including those at St. Ambrose.
In his adult years, Terry worked as a manager for Geifman Food Stores throughout the Quad Cities. After the Geifman Group divested of the food store business, Terry later became a successful salesman and a well-respected Territory Manager at a Des Moines-based food broker for many years before retiring at age 62.
Terry was a resident of the Kahl Home for five years and was selected as their head representative for the resident body of the Kahl Home.
Those left to honor his memory include his brother, Kevin, Tallahassee, FL, and cousins Linda Ceurvorst and David (Joyce)Ceurvorst, Davenport Iowa, Carol (Randy) Franzenburg, Keystone, IA and Bonnie (Rob) McCollam, Vadnais Heights, MN, niece, Kirah Cowley and nephews, Kyle and Dustin Cowley, all of Texas.
His parents and siblings, Jeanne Ceurvorst and Rebecca Cowley preceded him in death.
