Theresa L. Farrell, 83, of Davenport, Iowa passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. She will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Theresa was born to Lorenzo “Lawrence” and Thelma Alcala on November 6, 1934 in Iowa City, Iowa. She started working at Marley Pumps (Red Jacket) in 1970 and after 27 years of service she retired on June 1, 1996. She also coached Dad’s Club in the late 1960’s where her team, Sudlow Jr. High, won city championship. Theresa enjoyed euchre, bingo and going to the casino in her spare time. She also loved camping and fishing. Her favorite sports teams were the Iowa Hawkeye’s and St. Louis Cardinals. She is survived by sons: Mike (Patricia) Farrell, Davenport, IA, Rick (Lydia) Farrell, Hurst, TX and Randy Farrell (Judy Tuttle), East Moline, IL; a special son, Steve (Sherri) Farrell, Rock Island, IL; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A son, Charles Farrell and numerous brothers and sisters preceded her in death along with her parents. The family would like to give a special thank you to the ladies of Genesis Hospice, her Golden Corral family, Dr. Schreck and Dorothy Vaughn.
