Troy Wade Nicholson

Troy was born May 9, 1969, in Davenport, Iowa, son of William and Jerrilea (Thayer). He graduated from Davenport West High School and played briefly for a semi-professional baseball team.

Troy served in the National Guard. He was a talented draftsman, and enjoyed carpentry, art, and working with his hands. He also loved attending his daughter’s cello performances. Troy spent a lot of time on the golf course when he had the chance, and he was an avid fan of the St. Louis/Arizona Cardinals. With one of his last jobs, he had the privilege to travel to Saudi Arabia and many cities abroad, even visiting the pyramids in Egypt. Above all, Troy loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, LeeAnne Waugaman, daughter Haley Nicholson, mother Jerrilea Eldredge, three sisters, Wendy Essary, Brenda Nicholson, and Dana Nicholson, three stepsisters, Cindy Craft, Beth George, and Michelle Eldredge, one niece and two nephews, along with many other family and friends who respected and loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Merle and Gwendolyn Thayer, his father William Nicholson, stepfather John Eldredge, and his sister, Julie Nicholson.
