

William (Bill) Edvenson Jr., aged 80, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Ocala, Florida, joined his beloved wife, Imogene, in heaven on March 3, 2013 Bill was born September 14, 1932 to William and Ellen Edvenson in Davenport, IowaHe graduated from Davenport High School in 1950 and married E. Imogene White August 2, 1952. Bill worked at Strum Automotive moving up to position of store manager. When Strum was purchased by Whitlock Automotive he became a corporate vice president for the Midwest Division. In 1976 Bill & Imogene moved to Utica, New York where he was President of National Auto, a division of Whitlock. In 1982 they moved to Granada Hills, CA where he was President of Cal Automotive until his retirement in 1987. In retirement Bill & Imogene moved to Ocala, Florida where they enjoyed warm weather, travels, and the many opportunities of the sunshine state. Bill returned to Davenport in April 2012 and resided at Ridgecrest Retirement Village until his death.He was preceded in death by Imogene, his wife of 58 years. He will be lovingly remembered by their children: Roger (Peggy) Edvenson of Kentwood, Michigan and Sue (Jerry) Kelley of Davenport, Iowa, grandchildren: Heather Edvenson, Elliot Kelley and Michelle (Jon) Weaver, step grandchildren; Kevin Kelley and Tish Knoeffel.
