Zanta J. Hintze

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Runge Mortuary with a Visitation one hour prior. She will be laid to rest in the Rock Island National Cemetery. She was born a daughter to Elmer and Inez (Michael) Grunwaldt on December 6, 1931 in Rural Brownsdale, Minnesota. She graduated from Austin High School in Austin, MN. She was united in marriage to Eugene Kolb on June 24, 1950. She later married Arlo Hintze July 17, 1965 in Rock Island, IL.

Zanta loved her family, friends, and her cats, Hope and Spicy. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, playing cards, bingo, and other crafts. She contributed to Pregnancy Resources by making crochet baby blankets and to CASI by making hats and gloves.

Those celebrating her life include her children, Sandi Veberg of Long Grove, Rosanne (Kirk) Schumacher of Davenport, Debbie Hintze, Doyle (Jean) Hintze of Reno, NV, and Troy Hintze; grandchildren, Warren (Mhier), Matthew (Sarah), Jennifer (Ron), Lars, Brenda (Andrew), Mark, Melissa, Daryl (Trista), Aaron and Allicia (Jared); and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Arlo; son, James; daughter, Rochelle Dawn; and brother, Daryl.
