Born September 19, 1927. Died January 1, 2026.
Bea was born in Havre, Montana, the daughter of Henrietta and Bernard Robeck. She had three brothers: Robert, Clinton and George. At the age of 13 her family moved to Everett, Washington.
One of the hardest things for Bea to adjust to was going to school with over 100 students in her grade, when she came from a little country school with less then 10 students. She graduated from Everett High School and then the University of Washington with a degree in Dietetics, followed by an internship to be a Dietitian.
She worked for 2 years as a Dietitian at Chicago Lying-In Hospital, 2 years at WSU, and a short time at Wenatchee Hospital, before marrying James R. Teel in November of 1955.
Jim and Bea set up their first home on a farm near Valley, Washington. In 1960 they moved to Davenport, where the family has lived and farmed since.
Bea and Jim are survived by three children, Bryan Teel, Bonnie (Michael)
Hardy, and Lorie (Casey) Klahn, three grandchildren, Stephen (Becky) Hardy, Carson and Amelia Klahn, and one great grandchild, George Hardy.
Bea put her family and the farm first in life. She was the bookkeeper for the farm into her 96th year. She helped maintain and move machinery, drove wheat truck, and brought full hot meals to the harvest field.
Bea was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and serving many terms as Deacon, Session Member, Mission Committee member and Secretary of the Women's Association. She cared for many people, taking food and loving care to the sick and home-bound.
She served on the Lincoln County Fair Board, and was often a Department
Superintendent and judge for baking and sewing. She formed the Sunshine Gals 4-H Club around 1973. She served as Director of Camp She was a long time member of the Davenport Study Club, and local quilting and craft groups.
She made over 120 quilts of every size, from wall hangings on up. She loved a wide variety of arts and crafts, including rock painting, watercolors, wood carving, drawing, sewing, embroidery and other fiber arts such as crochet and knitting. She was a prolific writer. She was an avid gardener and an extraordinary baker. She continued to bake goodies daily into her 97th year.
Bea and Jim traveled far and wide, including Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Alaska, Europe and the Panama Canal. They took the family to numerous places across the west on camping trips.
Bea lived an extraordinary, adventurous life, which could fill a book. We love you and miss you, Mom.
