Paul Reuben Sarkkinen was born on November 3rd, 1954 to Wilfred and Doris Sarkkinen in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He passed away in Spokane, WA on January 20th, 2022 at the age of 67.
He was raised in Bloomington, Minnesota and then moved with his parents to Battle Ground, WA where he graduated from High School. In 1984 he married Rebecca Ellen Foley and they were blessed with three daughters. His hardworking life in the construction industry was focused mainly in Spokane, WA, Billings, MT and Minneapolis, MN. He enjoyed being with his daughters and their families, visiting his siblings and friends, where his uplifting, humorous and loving nature will be missed. His biggest joy in life was being a grandpa and going on many adventures. Paul was described as one of a kind. His passing was precious, where lastly surrounded by his daughters and shortly before with his siblings, his firm faith in the living Christianity was felt and witnessed by those present. He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Paul is survived by his 3 daughters Shana Stenberg with Adam of Albertville, MN, Amber Kehl with Nick of St. Michael, MN, Angela Fromm with Tanner of Watertown, SD, 8 grandchildren, Victoria, Jada, RaeLeigh, Sawyer, Kysa, Berlynn, Elna and Kinsley. Siblings Joe with Sharon, Dick with Nancy of Battle Ground, WA, Douglas with Helen of La Center, WA, Robert, James with Brenda and Bonnie with Jeff Lipka, of Yacolt, WA, William with Denise, of Big Lake, AK. Donald with Michelle of Woodland, WA, Marietta with Kern Kostenko of Kennewick, WA, Gail with Matt Waatti of Lakeside, MT and Timothy with Anita of Big Fork, MT and a host of precious Christian brothers and sisters in faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca in 2001, parents Wilfred and Doris Sarkkinen and nephew Nathan Sarkkinen and niece Mindy Sarkkinen.
Services will be at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Davenport, WA, at 35900 SR 25 N Davenport, WA on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with the viewing beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
