Passed away August 17, 2014 at the Lincoln Hospital in Davenport, WA her home Harrington, WA. Penny was born on December 7, 1942 in Ashland, OR to Clair and Lois Smith. Penny married Lester Smith on December 20 1964 in Kennewick, WA. Penny is survived by her husband Lester Smith at the home and three children John Smith of Walls Port, OR, Kevin Smith and Kim Barrett both of Portland, OR along with three grandchildren. Her mother Lois Smith of Vancouver, WA and her sister Dee Powell of Kennewick, WA. She is preceded in death by her father Clair Smith and one brother Mike Smith. Penny was a nurse for 30 years before retiring. Penny attended the Church of Christ; she enjoyed horses, reading and being a nurse. A Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Harrington Community Church, Harrington, WA with Tony Hamilton, officiating..
