

Lois R. Knapp, a beacon of warmth and love, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale, at the age of 82. Born on January 31, 1943, in Braddock, Pennsylvania, Lois was a woman whose life was characterized by her friendly demeanor, loving nature, and unwavering faith.
Lois grew up in the close-knit community of Braddock, where she attended Braddock High School. Her early years were filled with the love and support of her parents, John and Anne Stemler, and her siblings. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Knapp, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories, and her brothers, Charles, Bobby, and Johnny Stemler.
Lois dedicated her life to her family, creating a warm and welcoming home as a homemaker. Her daughter, Patricia (Patti) Knapp, and son, Edward Knapp, along with his wife Elise, were the center of her world. She was a cherished grandmother to Nicole Boross, Tyler Boross, Morgan Knapp, Emily Knapp, and Lucas Knapp, and a doting great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. Her sister, Margaret McGrath, also survives her, continuing the legacy of their close family bonds.
Lois's passion for baking was well-known, especially her European cookies. Her Lady Locks were the highlight of many family gatherings and community events. She poured her heart into every batch, and her baked goods were a sweet representation of her love for others.
An avid fan of the Florida Panthers, Lois's enthusiasm for her favorite hockey team was infectious. She could often be found cheering them on, sharing her excitement and joy with everyone around her.
Those who knew Lois would describe her as the epitome of friendliness, love, and faith. She lived her life as a testament to the power of kindness and the importance of family. As Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Lois embodied this sentiment, touching the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
