Marieli A Rivera Coombs

Marieli Rivera Coombs, 65, of Davie, passed away on February 8, 2026 in Davie Florida. Mary was born in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to Tirso and Eliana Rivera on September 4, 1960. She married Kenneth Coombs on May 23,1990 in Hilton Head, South Carolina. She graduated from Miami Coral Park Senior High School and The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and worked in Art Design for the Advertising industry. She was a real estate agent for Keller Williams and a business owner of Play King Inc for over 26 years. Mary loved travelling and adventures. She spent many years living in Coastal North Carolina where boating and sailing became a passion. She made many offshore voyages to Caribbean Islands, Bermuda, and northern New England. Spending time with family and friends was always a joy and meant so much to Mary. She loved all animals especially the many pets she had throughout the years.

Mary is preceded in death by Eliana Rivera- mother, Tirso Rivera-father, Muriel Coombs- mother in law, Bruce Coombs-father in law, Vita Lina Grandmother, Virgilio Brea- Uncle. Mary is survived by husband Kenneth M Coombs, her brother Willy Leon and wife Gloria, Sister Emily Rodriguez and husband Jose, Sister Jennifer Rivera, Nieces and nephews David Leon, Alexandra Kaplan, husband Jared Kaplan and their son Benjamin, Bianca Kerr, husband James Kerr and their daughter Charlotte, Gabriella Thompson, James Thompson. A Service and celebration of life will be held Saturday March 14 from 1 to 4 at Fred Hunters in Davie. Followed by a dinner gathering to celebrate her life at her home in Davie. The family of Marieli wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Trustbridge Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Humane Society of the United States, American Cancer Society.
