Born on May 17, 1938 at St. Francis Hospital on Miami Beach to Rita and Aaron Rossman. He grew up in North Miami with his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He graduated from Miami Edison Sr. High School in 1957 where he met the love of his life Dianne Boudreau; they married immediately after Dianne’s graduation in 1959.
Mike developed an early sense of service, integrity, and compassion that would guide his life. For 32 years, he served as a professional firefighter at the rank of Captain with City of Miami Fire Rescue. He took great pride in protecting his community and working alongside his fellow firefighters, whom he considered a second family. His courage, calm presence, and commitment to duty earned him the respect of colleagues and the gratitude of countless people he helped throughout his career.
Above all, Mike was a family man. He was a devoted husband to Dianne for 67 years and a loving father to Dianne, Mike and Steve. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends, whether on vacations, family celebrations, playing golf, or at monthly lunches reminiscing with the “guys”. His guidance, love, and steady support shaped the lives of those who loved him.
He was also a loyal friend. Mike’s close relationship with God became part of his fabric. Many will remember him for his sacrifice for his family, dedication to God, strong work ethic, and most of all his presence of pure love for others.
Mike is survived by his wife Dianne, his children Dianne, Mike (Hanta) and Steve (Stacy), and his grandchildren Jenna, Tara, and Ethan. He is also survived by his sisters, Thelma Helton and Shirley Cozine, Margaret Rossman (Sister-in-law) brother-in-laws, Louis Boudreau (Bobbie) and Richard Boudreau, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
