He is survived by his wife, Debbie, children Stephanie (Stefan) Zürcher, Melissa (Tom) Woltman, and Phillip Scholes, brother Peter Scholes, and grandchildren Hannah, Connor, Loise, Johan, Ruben, Alice, Ellen and Henry. Andy was born to Cliff and Arlene Scholes in Cincinnati on August 28, 1959. In pursuing this dream, he met the love of his life, Debbie, at his first job post college in Dayton. He continued to advance in his career to become partner in an accounting firm until his retirement.
Andy faithfully attended and served at Arbor Church in Dayton, Ohio for over 40 years. He treasured the meetings of the church and especially enjoyed the worship of God in song.
He also enjoyed serving in the Kettering Rotary Club, of which he was a member for 40 years. He collected a library of history books and took great pleasure in reading and learning more about American history.
A private graveside service will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Joni and Friends or the National MS Society in honor of Andy.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
