

Joe was born in Los Angeles, CA. He attended parochial school thru the 12th grade then excelled at Loyola Marymont University, CA. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Air Force ROTC program. He was selected to attend the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH, where he pursued his Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He fell in love with the 4 seasons of Ohio and he fell in love with an Ohio native, Miss Sharon Adkins. They married in 1980 and shared a wonderful and blessed life for 45 years, serving the Lord, working hard, and enjoying their family and friends, as they moved around the country.
His leadership, integrity and hard work served him well in the military ranks as he moved up the Air Force ladder, achieving the rank of Lt. Col. During those years, he and Sharon were blessed with a son, Stephen Gerard. After a successful 20 year career, Joe retired from the military and began his civilian and work career as a Program Manager and Software Developer with several different companies in succession.
Joe enjoyed many interests and hobbies over the years to include horseback riding (and ownership), exploring caves, SCUBA diving, wood refinishing, and coaching ice hockey for Stephen. Taking walks and traveling were always fun adventures for him and his wife.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, AJ Peloquin Sr. His survivors include his beloved wife, Sharon; his son, Stephen, an Army veteran; his brother, Rod (Gaby) Peloquin of CA; his sister, Michelle (Tom) Johnson of AZ; his mother, Ruth Peloquin also of AZ. Other survivors include two nieces, three nephews, four great-nieces, and four great nephews. In addition he is survived by brother-in-law, Dr. Steve (Connie) Adkins of OH; and a sister-in-law, Susan (Jack) Eiselstein of OH, and 22 nieces and nephews.

Services for Joe will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Patterson Park Church, 3655 E. Patterson Road, Beavercreek, OH 45430. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral services starting at 12:00 pm. Burial and military honors will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle Five Points Road.
