

Stucke, Arthur William, 94, of Riverside, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at Bethany Lutheran Village. He is preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Maxine (Shaper) Stucke and his wife of 28 years, Patricia Stucke; his sisters Johanna Overman, Agnes Grevenkamp, Alvira Schwartz Homan, Regina Schwartz and Margaret Stucke; brothers Frank, Norbert, Jack, Werner and Leander. He is survived by his children and spouses, Catherine Stucke, Roger Stucke, Dennis (Ellen) Stucke, Janice (Mark) Kraus, Brian (Monica) Stucke and Diane (David) Rose; grandchildren Matthew Stucke, Emily Stucke, Ryland Stucke, Rachel Stucke, Amanda Stucke, Samuel Rose, Christopher Stucke and Nathaniel Rose; step-children Neil Strefling, Nathalie Rennell and Leah Porter and their children Neil Jr., Michael, Nicole, Kathryn, Samantha and Grant. Arthur was a veteran of WWII in the US Army and very patriotic. In his earlier years he was an accomplished bowler, a baseball coach for the Belmont Little League, an active member of the Blackfriars Guild, the Dayton Men’s Singers and was instrumental in establishing the Carroll High School drama club where he volunteered many hours with his wife Maxine. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Choir and an active member of the parish from the 1950’s until 2009. He spent the majority of his working years as a mechanical engineer at NCR and Hobart. Most recently he was a member of the Choraleers singing group and enjoyed playing pool, watching sports and spending time with family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church, Interment Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. from 5-8 PM Monday. Arthurs family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to his dedicated and loving caregivers at Bethany Village and to the Eucharistic ministers from Incarnation Church who brought him communion every week.
