Ashley Michelle Maultsby was born January 12, 1985, to Lynndell and Robert Maultsby, of Beavercreek, Ohio. Robert and Lynndell currently reside in Caryville, Tennessee. Ashley is survived by her son, Ethan Robert Maultsby, also residing in Caryville, Tennessee, and her brother Jonathan Robert Maultsby (active duty USN), his wife Karissa Maultsby and her nephews Nathaniel and Joshua Maultsby. Ashley’s other brother, Andrew Robert Maultsby preceded her in death in 2023. Andrew’s children, Caleb and Mia, Ashley’s nephew and niece, currently reside in Sevierville, Tennessee with their mother Kimberley Maultsby Akin.
Ashley was in a coma and on life support for 12 days. On January 15th, the ventilator was removed. Ashley made a quiet and peaceful transition from earth to her Heavenly Home. We miss her and there is an unfillable void in our lives.
Ashley was kind and caring, always thinking of others and often giving "love gifts" as a surprise to members of her family. Music was important in Ashley’s life, and she was blessed with an angelic voice. She sang in her church choir and loved to sing around the house. She enjoyed attending church and Sunday School at her home church, the First Baptist Church of Sevierville, Tennessee. Ashley was able to enjoy visiting in the LORD’s House for a Christmas Eve service before her passing.
Very bravely, Ashley struggled the last few years with kidney failure and was receiving multiple dialysis treatments weekly. She stayed positive and hopeful. On January 3rd, Ashley’s heart stopped. Years of blood pressure spikes, kidney failure and dialysis treatments took a toll on Ashley’s body. Rather than having Ashley live in disablement, the LORD decided to carry Ashley away from the bondage of her infirmity to be with HIM.
Ashley has no illness now and is in the presence of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. She is experiencing the joys that we can only dream of. LORD JESUS, we commit Ashley into your loving care, until one day we rejoin her.
Family will receive friends at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel in Dayton, Ohio on Thursday, January, 29, 2026 starting at 1:00pm.
