Born February 23, 1938, in England, she was the daughter of Edward and Emily Glynn and the sister of Ted Glynn.
On June 8, 1957, Beryl married the love of her life in Harlow, Essex, England. Shortly afterwards, “Bob” and Beryl made upstate New York their home and began to raise a family until military life took them across the globe. Upon retirement from military service, they settled on the island of Guam. It was here that both accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Beryl was a loving mother. There was nothing more important to her than her children. She raised them nearly single-handedly, due in part, to her husband’s remote military tours of duty. As a young mom, she instilled a love of reading, and modeled the importance of literacy by her voracious reading habit. She insisted on proper manners, word choice, and pronunciation, good citizenship, and strong work ethic. She often said “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.” Beryl was so proud of her family.
Beryl was kind, caring, opinionated and feisty. She will be remembered for her love of a “good cuppa tea”, reading anything and everything, knitting, sharing pictures of her family, and her faith in Jesus Christ.
Beryl is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Evans Jr., and parents Edward and Emily Glynn. She is survived by her children Nina Evans-Watson (Richard Watson), Louis Evans (Chandra Evans de Meza), Laura Carrier (David Carrier), and Andrea Evans (Kent Evans), brother Edward Glynn (Linda Glynn) of Essex, England, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
