

FORSYTHE, Betty J. (Miller), age 88, died August 18, 2012 at the Walnut Creek Nursing Center after suffering many years with Alzheimer’s disease. HER MIND IS CLEAR AGAIN AT LAST AS SHE MEETS HER LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. She is survived by her husband Thomas M. Forsythe; sons Lawrence(Linda)Forsythe of Dayton and Pastor Douglas(Deborah)Forsythe of Xenia; grandson Matthew(Gretchen) and expected great-granddaughter of Casselberry, FL; granddaughters Michelle Cotterman of Nashville, TN., Julianna(Dennis)Piovesan of Jamestown, OH and Jessica(Derrick)Martin of Denver, PA.; several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, and granddaughter Jennifer. Betty and Tom, who would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary August 29th, moved to the Dayton area in 2006 from Columbus, OH, where they had made their home since their marriage. Long-time members of Grace Brethren Church of Columbus, here they joined Patterson Park Church. An alumnae of Chi Omega Sorority, Betty graduated from the Ohio State University in 1946, worked for a short time at the OSU College of Dentistry and later was associated with the former House of Flowers in Columbus. Special thanks to the associates at Walnut Creek Center whose loving care helped sustain Betty during her years there. Funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel with Pastor Forsythe officiating.
