Vale, Betty J., 83, of Dayton, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Sanctuary at 10 Wilmington Place. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Vale. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Darrell and Carol Vale of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Ed Brannon of Dayton; sister Priscilla Gonya of Lebanon, PA; brother Ronnie Fite of Centerville; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Betty was very active as a leader in the Girl Scouts of America, also the Walnut Hills Civic Counsel and was active in her church. She retired from the Elder-Beerman Company. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Rev. David Tackett officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-2 PM Saturday. Private interment at the convenience of the family.
