Grote, Billie B. (Roberts); passed away peacefully on December 31, 2015. She was born on August 4, 1931 in Caryville, TN. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim W. Grote; her parents, Leanard and Lucille Roberts; five brothers and six sisters. Billie is survived by her brother, Jimmy Roberts; sons, Chris A. Grote, Greg S. Grote (his fiancé Kim Roesner); daughter, Terri B. Taylor (Grote) and husband Tim; grandchildren, Brandy Fields (Grote) and husband Jason, Brad Grote and wife Lindsey, and Nathan Taylor; great grandchildren, Velencia Fields, Stone Fields, Kenadee Grote and Eli Grote; so many nieces and nephews. Her family was the love of her life. She was a fabulous wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the matriarch of our family. A member of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority for 50+ years. She worked for Rike’s/Lazaraus for many years. She was a member of Dayton Family Campers. She attended Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. The family will receive guests an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in David’s Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Dayton.
