

Age 69, a 40-year resident of Washington Township, died Friday evening at home with loving care from Hospice of Dayton. Bruce was born to the late Bruce M. and Betty (Norris) Geiger in Maryland where his father served during WWII. The family returned to Piqua, OH then moved to Troy. Bruce graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati in 1972. He taught Film Production as a graduate teaching assistant the following year. His career in marketing and advertising included nearly 25 years at Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman, Inc. where he served as copywriter, account manager, and Vice President. He also taught marketing classes at several community colleges and at Wilberforce University. He will be remembered as a loving and dedicated family man, scholar, and lover of music, a man whose humor and charm endeared him to many. He remained optimistic living with Alzheimer’s Disease for more than a decade. Bruce is survived by his wife, Sherry (Wooley) Geiger and their 3 daughters: Rachael Geiger of Mt. Shasta, CA; Elizabeth (Ravi) Pandian of Philadelphia, PA; Sarah (Peter) Hewitt of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren; his brother, David (Sandra) Geiger of John’s Creek, GA; brother-in-law Charles Runnels of Fairfield, OH, step mother Peggy Ramer Geiger of Piqua, OH; mother-in-law Dorothy Wooley of Centerville, OH; and many loving family members and friends who enriched his life.
