Callie C. Zimmerman

Zimmerman, Callie C. age 68 of Oakwood passed away Sunday October 12, 2014 in the care of Via Quest Hospice residing at Senior Home Choice. She was born February 18, 1946 in Piqua, Ohio to John L. and Dorothy J. Comolli. Callie graduated Suma Cum Laude from Miami University in Oxford with a B.S. in Paper Technology/Chemistry receiving Phi Beta Kappa Honors. She worked for NCR Paper/International Division, was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oakwood where she was Director of Youth Christian Education, and was an aide to special needs students at Smith School in Oakwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John D. Comolli and a daughter, Polly Ann Zimmerman. Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Neil W. Zimmerman; a son, Dr. Joshua O. Zimmerman M.D. of Minneapolis, MN, granddaughter; Julia Zimmerman-Boyer, a brother, Dr. Paul M. Comolli of Lawrence, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 1 pm Wednesday October 15, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 33 W. Dixon Ave. Oakwood, Ohio 45419. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua, Ohio.
