

Carol Ann Hodapp age 90, of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on December 28, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to parents Paul Henry and Marguerite (Gaeke) Jacobson who preceded her in death.
Carol was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She was a Lifetime Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #9927, an avid fisherman at her beloved Lake Minnewaukan, an antique dealer and a Julienne girl.
Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60+ years, Kenneth R. Hodapp; a son, Mark A. Hodapp; her identical twin sister, JoAnn Barnes; and her sister, Rose A. Williams; and her brother, Paul A. Jacobson.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Hacker (Ted), Mary Covill (Tim), Todd Hodapp (Connie), Scott Hodapp (Carolyn), and Paula Smith (Mike); her sisters, Darlene Imbus (Don), Pamela Tatone (John), and sister in law, Marlies Jacobson. Also grandchildren, Carly, Aubrey, KJ, Tommy, Tyler, Candice, Mikey and great granddaughter Ava. Also special nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors and her beloved cat, Willie Nelson.
The family would like to send expressions of gratitude and thanks to the doctors and staff at Kettering Memorial Hospital and to the staff of Hospice of Dayton for their loving care of Carol. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation on Tuesday evening April 16, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Dayton, Ohio 45432 with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM with Deacon Mike Montgomery of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church presiding. Committal Service with Burial will take place the following day at Dayton National Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
