Cathy Ann Dorsten Bryan

Bryan, Cathy Ann (Dorsten), age 55, of Beavercreek, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Xenia, OH on March 22, 1959 to Joyce (Davis) Dorsten and the late Cyril Dorsten. Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Randy Bryan; her son, Samuel Bryan; her daughter, Taylor Bryan, all of Beavercreek; her mother, Joyce Dorsten, of FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Darla and Carl Hendricks, of Mason, OH; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Esther Dorsten, of FL; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marcella and Richard Bryan, of Beavercreek; a brother-in-law, Steve Bryan, of PA; a sister-in-law, Sherri Bryan, of Columbus, OH and many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Beavercreek High School, Class of 1977 and received her MBA from Wright State University. Cathy was a very active member of St. Helen Catholic Church where she headed the Bereavement Committee , was a member of the Liturgical Planning Committee and volunteered in many other capacities at the church. She was a member of Team In Training and was a Greene County 4-H Advisor. Cathy was a strong advocate and supporter for School Choice. A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014, from St. Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Road, Riverside, OH with Father David Brinkmoeller, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Cathy's memory to the Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
