Charles served in the Army Air Force from January 1944 to May 1946. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Business Administration in1950. He married in the early 1950’s.
Charles pursued a career in the purchasing department of Aeroproducts and later, Frigidaire Divisions of General Motors. He retired in the early 1980’s.
Charles celebrated his 100th birthday in November 2025.
Charles is preceded in death by his father, William F Martin and mother, Berdenia E Martin.
Charles is survived by two sons, Terry Martin of Kettering, Ohio and Edward Martin of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, located at 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, Ohio, 45429, on February 6, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same location, starting at 11:00 am.
Burial with Air Force Honors will take place at Casstown Cemetery, 1000 N Childrens Home Road, Troy, OH, 45373, at 1:00 pm on the same day.
