ABRAHAM, Cheryl Marie was warmly welcomed to Heaven on October 7, 2014, leaving behind her husband William LINESCH, daughters Emily (Abraham-Linesch) Smerbeck and Elyse Abraham-Linesch, son-in law, James Smerbeck, precious grandchildren Liam and Cecilia Smerbeck, all of Dayton, brothers Anthony Wayne and Richard, and a throng of family, friends, students and sisters of the Noble Circle; all of whom loved her dearly and will miss her terribly. Words fall short in describing Cheryl's capacity to accept and love so deeply. Gentle and caring, outrageous and irreverent, Cheryl embraced wanderlust her whole life. Her passion for living life to the full took her near and far, creating friends for life and treasured memories. Any time was a good time to celebrate something. Birthdays always required at least a month of celebration, Christmas slightly more. And it was OK to eat ice cream more than once a day, preferably with some cake or cookies. No portrait would be complete without acknowledging her superior shopping skills. An early proponent of retail therapy, she shared her secrets with many in awe of her sustained contributions to the retail economy.
A teacher, clinical counselor and school counselor, she accepted her students wherever they were, understood when tough love was in order and when to clear the #@^*!% path for a student who needed her help. She was recently recognized by Fairmont High School as “Teacher of the Year”. We have lost our dear Cheryl too soon…and we have gained a tireless advocate in the life beyond waiting to celebrate us home. Friends may call on the family, Friday, October 10, 2014, from 4-8 pm, at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd.
