I am so sorry about your lost. She was my counselor when I went to school and I am just finding out about this now. She was the best person to talk to and she will be missed.

My heart is sad, yet I had a giggle when I read her family's memories.  Although we live 500 miles away now, I admire her work, and appreciate her contribution to our kids lives,  some of them couldn't have done it without her.  We are so sorry for your loss as a family.  She can't be replaced, but she will be remembered

I'm extremely heart broken about this , i could go to her with no problem at all anytime during school and cry in her office and shed let me. So sorry for your loss.

Dear Abraham-Linesch family,

My name is Joe Barton and Mrs. Abraham was my high school counselor. I deeply regret that I won't be able to attend her service but I wanted to make sure that I at least reached out and paid my respects to her memory.

I met Mrs. Abraham early in my freshman year and spent the next 4 years dependent on her and her kindness. I made countless visits to her office for all kinds of reasons, many of them trivial. Mrs. Abraham was such an amazing counselor though because to her even the most trivial problems merited attention. I was never turned away from her warmth, kindness or advice even if I was just coming to her office to whine. She guided me through high school, helped me decide to pursue honors and international baccalaureate classes and held my hand through college applications, acceptances and rejections. She even put up with my parents when they harassed her for advice and insights about my schedule or my future. Even now, years later, I can't help but laugh and smile at the absurd lengths Mrs. Abraham must have gone for me.

I'm sure you are all aware of what an incredible impact Mrs. Abraham made on so many peoples' lives, including mine. I hope that amid the inevitable sorrow of today and the days to come that you find the time to celebrate and appreciate Mrs. Abraham's amazing life and the roles, big or small, that we all were lucky enough to play in it. Fairmont High School will not be the same without her.
