

RINGLER, Creola (Stephenson), age 86, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on March 10, 2012. Creola was born April 21, 1925, in Hitchens, Kentucky, to Arthur and Bess Stephenson. At age 16, she moved to Dayton, Ohio and worked at Sucher’s Meat Packing Company where she met Douglas D. Ringler. They married on September 25, 1943, in Springfield, Missouri, prior to Douglas serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII. After WWII they settled in the Dayton area to raise their family. Creola worked as a homemaker for many years and loved caring for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, singing, dancing and attending family gatherings. Creola was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bob and Vonnie; her husband Douglas; and her son Donald. She is survived by two brothers, Bill (Joanne) and Ray Stephenson; three sons, Timothy (Joyce), James, and Kevin (Lisa Anne); three grandsons, Jason (Adriane), Shawn and Samuel Ringler; five granddaughters, Lisa (Kenneth) Rathburn, Kimberly, Heather, Dreama and Alicia Ringler; four great-grandchildren, Rhian , Abigail, Aiden and Owen; extended family; and friends at Hillspring of Springboro. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45429, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Kenneth Rathburn officiating.
