
He was born March 31, 1949 to Joe E. and Virginia W. Hudson in Dayton, Ohio. He grew up in Dayton and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with bachelors and masters degrees in Aerospace Engineering, from Wright State University with an MBA, and from Pennsylvania State University with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering. He was an Eagle Scout. Being an engineer was what he always wanted to be. He was proud of his work as a co-op student at NASA as an undergraduate, his engineering work as a civilian for the Air Force in Ohio, teaching at Penn State, and his work with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in Huntsville. Even though his engineering mind would challenge what you thought or believed, he was a tender-hearted man who gave of himself to help others. Dale was preceded in death by his mother and sister Diana. Survivors include Gail, his wife of 29 years, his sister Donna, and his father. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Dale will be interred at the Woodland Cemetery.
