JONES, Daniel Marvin, age 89 of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, August 06, 2013 at V.A. Hospice.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Esther Jones; sisters, Lucille and Shirley Jones; brothers, Robert, William, Thomas, and Richard Jones. Dan is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Jones of Centerville; son, Fred (Brenda) Jones of Kettering; daughters, Marilyn Jones (Gary Grimes) of Miami Twp and Christine Zimmer; sister, Anita Ping of Kettering; brother, K P (Karen) Jones of Centerville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dan was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII, after the war he was a tool designer, in 1973 went to work at GM in Plant Security retiring in 1987. He was a member of VFW #2800 and American Legion 598. Memorial service 10:30 am Monday, August 12, 2013 at Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Friends may call 10 am Monday until time of service at the funeral home.
