

Stromberg, David Paul, Sr., age 78, of Beavercreek, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at The Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Steven Paul Stromberg and his grandson, Alexander Danner Ledwith. David is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Anita Stromberg; his three children, Linnea and husband, Josh Ledwith, Kristin and husband, Philip Harris, David Paul, Jr. and wife, Suzanne Stromberg; a brother, Charles Stromberg; a sister, Jane Beamand; 9 grandchildren, Aurora, Rayne, Dakota, Micah, Brennan, Hope, Sophia, Eliana and Soren. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. David was a 1960 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and retired from the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam. He was a retired engineer from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, OH from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2015, at the Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 N. Valley Road, Xenia, OH. A Celebration of David's Life will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pike, Kettering with Pastor Mark Carlson officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church Capital Improvement Fund, Gideon's International or The Hospice of Dayton.
