Born in McDowell, Kentucky, she was preceded in death by her parents Nelson Howell and Pollie Jones Howell; brothers Walker Howell, Oscar Howell, Bennie Howell, Charles Howell, Raymond Howell; sisters May Howell, Lona Howell, Anna Howell Hall, Goldie Howell Demint, Ruby Howell Tackett, June Howell Dean, and Maudie Howell Copeland; and grandson Andrew J. Hughes.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Carolyn Forster Hughes, Ph.D. (Jeffrey), Nelson H. Forster, Ph.D., and grandsons Joseph B. Forster and Thomas F. Hughes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was a General Motors retiree and a member of the Inland Leisure Ladies Club and the Miami Valley United Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 12NOON Tuesday, July 3, 2018 until time of the funeral service 1:30PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel with burial to follow at David’s Cemetery.
