

Goddard, Doris L. (Gibson), age 90, formerly of Beavercreek passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Ohio Masonic Home. She was born on September 13, 1924 in Randolph County, IN to Harmon and Hazel (Stewart) Conklin, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Abner Quinten Gibson in 1976 and James M. Goddard in 2011. Doris is survived by her two sons, John Gibson, of Bowersville, Jack and wife, Kathy Gibson, of Kettering; her daughter, Janet Gibson and husband, Eric Myers, of Columbus; step-daughter, Barbara and husband, David Swinehart, of Xenia; sisters, Marjorie Michael, Juanita Bixler, Jeanette Cline; brothers, Dale, Elven, Lowell and Harold Conklin. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Doris retired after 22 years of service with the Federal Government at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. She was an active member of the Choir at the Masonic Home and also enjoyed her involvement with many community and fraternal organizations. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with Pastor Brian Eastman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
