Dorothy Pittman

PITTMAN, Dorothy L., age 80, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Sanctuary at Wilmington Place. She was born November 26, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Sadie ( Powell) Lutz. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Hunsbarger; two sisters, Louise Lutz and Elain Cotterman; and one brother William Lutz. Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Vernon Pittman; three sons, Chris ( Kathy) Pittman, Roger ( Kathy) Pittman, and Michael (Vicky) Pittman. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Jaime Sparks, Lindsey Kellerman, Luke Pittman, Kristina Moore, Kevin Pittman, Megan Lucas and Travis Hunsbarger and 5 great-grandchildren. Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed cooking, making crafts and especially playing cards with her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, March 19, 2012 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave, Dayton, OH 45420. Pastor Dan Powell will be officiating services. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. Friends may call to the funeral home from 1:00PM until the time of funeral service.
