Dottie was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and wonderful homemaker. She is famous for her oatmeal chocolate chip and no bake cookies, the ability to iron pants that could stand up on their own, and get out any laundry stain known to man. She was an expert painter and wallpaper hanger.
Her favorite activities were playing games, cards, slot machines and bingo, as well as assembling puzzles. She loved working in her yard or yours. She was very involved with her grandchildren and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting activities and roller skating at their school parties up into her 70s. She loved to travel with her sisters, friends, kids and grandkids. She loved the beach and collecting shells. She also loved collecting chickens. When participating in weekend getaways with her sisters, she was frequently awarded the back end of a donkey trophy. The reason for her win was always a well kept secret!!
Although the past few years dementia took away some of her precious memories, she became sweeter and more loving than ever and never lost her sense of fun and humor. Her contagious giggle will remain in our memories forever. She really loved Christmas. It was her favorite holiday, so it is fitting that she passed at this time. She is the last of the Yenger clan, and we celebrate their heavenly reunion. Visitation and Mass will be held at St Charles .
