

Age 76 passed away on Saturday April 4, 2015 at Kettering Hospital. She was born February 21, 1939 in Cincinnati , Ohio. She graduated from Miami University with honors in education. She earned her degree while working full time and raising a family. After graduating from Miami, Dotti became a teacher at Centerville High School in career education and business departments for 28 years. Her love for teaching and students was abundant. Every day was an opportunity to educate and touch a life. She was a coach for Centerville’s award winning Science Olympiad team. She was the advisor for regional Business Professionals of America and helped with the State level competitions for BPA. She loved to travel with family to Walt Disney World and Greenville Village. Dotti enjoyed gardening and was an avid orchid grower. A Broadway Series season holder for years, her favorite musical’s and play’s were Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Gypsy, Guys and Dolls, Lion King, Kinky Boots and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Her love of music started as a child from taking singing lessons to later on participating in the church choir and culminated in here encouragement of her son and grandson’s to learn to play music as well. This also led to her volunteering with the Band Boosters organization during her son’s involvement in band. After retirement from Centerville City Schools, she was a devoted reader especially mystery and cooking books and would read a book a day. She is preceded in death by her sons James and John. Survived, by her husband, Merl, daughter, Kim Reidell, son, Todd Falkenstein, son in law, Ralph Reidell and grandsons Steven and Alexander Reidell. She was a loving mother and grandmother that always thought of others and adored her cat Yum Yum. Family will receive friends Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel; where funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, with Rev. Don Payne officiating.
