To the Family:
I am so sad to hear of Brent's passing he was one of my best friends throughout grade school and high school.  Mr and Mrs Edwards treated me more like a son than the bothersome next-door neighbor I really was.  Years of playing basketball on the driveway, whiffle ball in the back yard, keep away from Dan, learning how to play euchre around the kitchen table (Brent and I were the champs), exchanging wrong dress shoes thru the window at 4 in the morning, watching the pool collapse, playing football with those magnetic men, tossing the ball, all the stuff that kids are supposed to do growing up.  I've never met his wife and family, it's been over 40 years since I've last seen Brent, but my belated heartfelt condolences to all of you, he was a good soul.

Doug was always smart and kind.  i knew him from 
school in Beavercreek.    I am sad to see that  he has passed and I send my condolences to his family.

Mrs. Edwards:

My most heartfelt condolences to you, Doug's wife, and the entire family.  Doug and I were, as you know, the best of friends through junior high, high school, and at UC.  We spent many hours together fishing, playing sports, talking about life, and yes....arguing good naturedly about college football (his Tide, my Irish).  We stayed in contact through the 80s, but lost touch thereafter until we spoke at Mr Edwards funeral.  Although we talked about getting together to watch football, it didn't happen and now sadly my great friend is gone. 

Unfortunately I will be unable to attend either Doug's viewing or his service as I'm obligated to be in Cincinnati (Thur- Sat night) to care for my toddler grand daughter while her parents work.  I'll be thinking of Doug. however, and including all of you in my prayers.  God Bless all of you.

To his wife Kathy and his family,
Doug was alway a very kind , and wonderful person. He was not just a cab driver to our family he in many ways he was a good friend. When ever our family needed him he always tried to help. Now that he is gone he had left a hole behind that will be hard to fill. So he will be missed. May Doug rest in peace

Dear Kathy;

Our deepest condolences on the passing of Doug. We will always have fond memories of our family gatherings and no matter how much time had passed it seemed that we would just pick up the conversation where we left off.  Living with you and Doug, for me, was a great learning experience.   You both taught me the meaning of unconditional love.  My family has been truly blessed knowing him.  

To the Edwards family;
No amount of words can express the heartbreak we all feel, but from our family to yours, we are blessed to have Doug as a part of our family.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
