Douglas A. McPherson

Douglas Arwynn McPherson, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away on February 23, 2016 at the age of 80 after a short illness. He was born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on December 28, 1935. Douglas is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doral (Althouse) McPherson (of Sycamore, Ohio), his three children, daughters Erin Broderick of Cedar City, Utah, Cindy (Ken) Motley of Valley Grande, Alabama, and his son Stephen (Mari) McPherson of Xenia, Ohio, five grandchildren, April (Motley) Jurado, Chad Motley, Lenai McPherson, Frances Broderick and Stephen McPherson, Jr. Douglas served his country in the United States Air Force, as a fighter pilot, serving a tour in Vietnam , retiring after 23 years at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. At the time of his death, he was a Senior Software Engineer at CACI, where he worked for over 30 years. Visitation will be at Aley United Methodist Church, 4143 Kemp Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45431, on Friday, February 26, 2016 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at the Aley Reception Room at 4:00 p.m.
